original Victorian Norfolk Shepherd’s Hut!

Recently renovated and sited overlooking our sheep meadow, this is camping with a difference!

There is no TV,  wireless internet, or electricity. What you will have is the peace and quiet of the Norfolk countryside with views of our sheep (subject to season) in a parkland setting.

Listen to the sounds of birdsong, see our resident barn owl gliding past, and our own comical farmyard ducks!

Open the stable door, climb the ladder and step back in time.

This Victorian Norfolk Shepherd’s hut has been lovingly renovated and authentically decorated to provide a unique experience. Insulated throughout using natural sheep’s wool insulation, with a (narrow) 4ft x 6ft 3 double bed.

The Shepherd’s Rest is self catering and all equipment and essentials are provided including cooking oil, salt, pepper, sugar, tea, coffee, washing up liquid and fuel for the stove. There will be a welcome tea tray on arrival with home made cake or biscuits, milk and butter in the fridge, locally baked bread, Norfolk honey, home made jam and eggs from their free range chickens to get you started. You can bring your own sausages and bacon etc or call in to the neighbouring Bintree Farm Shop (open Mon-Sat 10-5pm) to stock up on delicious local produce and famous Brays pork pies.

There is a nearby garden room with fridge, kettle, toaster and modern shower and toilet facilities.

Mid March – Mid November

Prices: £85/night. 10% discount on stays of 4 nights or more.

Please note, 1 night breaks are possible any day of the week except Friday and Saturday which must be booked together. These incur an additional £10 charge.
